Reflecting

"Nothing short of a great civil war of values rages today throughout North America. Two sides with vastly differing and incompatible worldviews are locked in bitter conflict that permeates every level of society." Says James Dobson and Gary Baurer

Here are a few thoughts that cross my mind in reflecting on the results of the 2024 ND Primary race for the ND Superintendent of Public Instruction.

1. 80% of North Dakotans that voted in the primary election do not want to return to the education intended by the ND Constitution with its Christian context. They may not know the details, but they have chosen to keep the default religion of secular humanism with some Marxism and postmodernism. Neutrality is an impossibility. The resulting academic, moral and cultural decay is historical and predictable.

2. 20% of North Dakotans (115,000 students x 0.20 = 23,000) would make a reasonable starting point for a new public (not government) school system in North Dakota.

a. What would it take to open a public school (not government) system that is based on the ND Constitution with its Christian context?

b. Why is the 10th plank of the Communist Manifesto in the ND Constitution (free public schools)?

3. From our campaign studies, a state-wide public (not government) school system based on the ND Constitution with its Christian context (10 Commandments) would cost 30% of the government school system we have now.

a. Early American public (not government) schools were paid for by a small tuition which kept parental engagement high, costs minimized, with the academic, moral and cultural results high.

b. Key things that would need to be taught in a "free from government control" public (not government) school system include:

i. The impossibility of neutrality of religion in schools.
ii. The necessity and practicality of using the Ten Commandments as the standard for morality required in the ND Constitution.

4. Perhaps a starting point is for the current Christian schools, hybrid schools and other creative Christian educational endeavors to broaden their marketing reach knowing that 20 percent of North Dakotans want moral standards without indoctrination.

5. It seems like a necessary time for Christian students, parents, teachers, school board members, staff, administrators, and their pastors to boldly use their respective authority (5th Commandment, Doctrine of Lesser Magistrate) to act like they are in a system designed by the ND Constitution with the 10 Commandments as the standard for morality, Truth, and Reality.

6. Perhaps a North Dakota Education Reformation Society needs to be formed to encourage Christian boldness toward the replacement of the far-left indoctrination system we have now.

It has been a great honor and pleasure, plus lots of fun, to work with so many North Dakotans during the campaign that do understand the times and know what to do about them!

And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do... 1 Chronicles 12:32

Thanks very much to all of you who care and or have been involved!  Jim Bartlett

PSALM 33:10-22

The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
